Here’s the detailed write up the different types of Trading bots available in www.squareoffbots.com

Trading bots are segregated into three types. Directional, Non Directional and Baskets. Due to SEBI compliance, platforms shouldn’t display any performance metrics in their site. Hence, we will mention the nature of each of the strategy, expected max loss per trade, margin requirement, entry time of the strategy and other relevant details.

Directional Bots:

As the name suggest, bots under these category tend to make good profits when market trends or move in one sided direction without much volatility. Mentioned below are the bots that are part of Directional bots.

GRB – Golden Ratio Bot

You should give Input lots to bots – Between 8AM to 9:20 AM every day.

Trigger time – It can trigger orders anytime between 9:20 am to 3pm, as its a breakout strategy.

This is a volatility breakout trading system that trades with Bank Nifty futures. On an average it triggers only 6 or 7 trades a month. It doesn’t trigger trades every day. It uses 0.5% stop loss from the entry price, say if it triggers buy order at 40,000 then stop loss will be 39800. 0.5% from 40,000.

GRBO – Option Buying Bot –

Input time to bots – Between 8AM to 9:20 AM.

Trigger time – It can trigger orders anytime between 9:20 am to 3pm, as its a breakout strategy.

This is the only option buying bot we have that works on same logic as above, whenever futures gives trigger, respective ATM options will be bought, whenever futures stop loss is hit, this option trade will be closed. So all triggers for this option buying bot is based on GRB Futures bot mentioned above. Both the bots can trigger any time between 9:20 am to 3pm. As and when breakout happens, it gets triggered.

BNF Short StraddleBSS –

Directional BNF Straddle – DBSS –

It’s a directional option selling system that either shorts ATM CE or PE with 25% Stop loss AT 9:45 am. Based on the options data it determines the trend and accordingly chooses the strike. Just one trade per day

BNF Short Strangle – BSSR –

It’s a simple 930 BANK NIFTY Short Strangle system that shorts both ATM Ce & Pe at 9:30 with 25% stop loss.

Machine learning bot –

Input time to bots – Between 8AM to 9:45 AM.

Trigger time – 9:45 am
It’s machine learning bot that trades on Nifty & BankNifty. It’s a directional option selling system that rides the trend by either shorting ATM ce or ATM Pe. Unlike BNF Straddle which places just one a trade a day, this system places multiple trades as it can keep changing from Ce to Pe during reversals. So works really well and captures market reversals most of the time. Uses 25% Stop loss on premium It triggers orders from 9:45 am.

Non Directional Bots:

As the name suggest, bots under these category tend to make good profits when market are in rangebound or doesn’t move in one sided direction. Mentioned below are the bots that are part of Non Directional bots.

Input time to bots – Between 8AM to 10:30 AM.

Trigger time – 10:30 am

1% Straddle – works with Nifty, FinNifty and BankNifty. It’s a non directional systems works well when market trades in tight range. Where it shorts both atm ce and pe at 10:30 am where stop loss is based on underlying 1% move instead of premiums based stop loss. As long as the underlying index moves within 1% range from 10:30 am to 3:15pm, this bot makes profits. Once it breaches this 1% level, system would close both legs, CE&PE.

 Expiry Trading Bots:

These bots are available only on expiry days. We have two different trading bots that trades specifically on expiry days for FinNifty & BankNifty.

Input time to bots – Between 8AM to 10:30 AM.

Trigger time – 10:30 am

Rolling Straddle –

As the name suggest, this bot triggers orders at 10:30 am on Tuesday for FinNifty and on Wednesday for BankNifty. Where it shorts ATM strikes and uses 0.4% stop loss on underlying. Once the index moves 0.4% from 10:30 am levels, It would close the current straddle and initiates new straddle. At the max, only three such entires are possible. As long the index doesn’t trend big time, this strategy ends up in profits.

ATS – Auto Strangle bot – This is a non directional bot that automatically adjust the positions based on options data. Works very well on expiry days.

Baskets:

Input time to bots – Between 8AM to 9:20 AM.

Trigger time – 9:20 am

These are totally different strategies that works with Nifty, bank nifty and finnifty where user can select the basket and it automatically triggers the respect trades. It is a combination of trending & mean reverting systems, where first batch of orders are placed in the morning at 9:20 am and second placed in the noon at 13:15 which covers both trending and non trending moves. We recommend running FinNifty baskets on Tuesdays, BankNifty Basket on Wednesday, Nifty basket on Thursday.
